The Brain Imaging Facility (BIF) at the Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research (IZKF Aachen) is the central institution for the design, implementation and evaluation of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies and positron emission tomography (PET) studies within the University Hospital of the Medical Faculty of the RWTH Aachen. In 1997, the Brain Imaging Facility was established as an interdisciplinary neuroscience project by IZKF Aachen to provide the technical and personnel requirements for the implementation of functional imaging studies and coordinate the respective measurements.
